How fast is the Wi-Fi at your local hotspots?
Just out of curiosity, how fast is the Wi-Fi at the hotspots that you connect to most often?

This is my average and it goes up to 20 MBPS or a bit more. My phone is my hotspot lol. I connect my tablet and laptop to it on the go. I don't use public as I want my data secured.

Re: How fast is the Wi-Fi at your local hotspots?
Most hotspots are probably not going to be very fast as the hotspot provider will use a slower speed connection to keep costs down. Although there could be exceptions in some high traffic areas. Anyway, myself I avoid hotspots for security reasons, don't trust them due to their open nature (too easy for someone to sniff your data across the open network). I don't even use my phone on my own secured/locked down home Wi-Fi. But that's primarily because it's shamed by Verizon's LTE. Despite that, I still wouldn't use LTE as my only or primary Internet; don't want to put all my eggs in one basket and others in the house still need Internet when I'm not home.
