Got my G1 a day before launch!

We bought two of them off EBay (Thanks, Mr. Anonymous!) and I had to drive two hours both ways to get them at 1am. Fun times.

It was a good thing we did it that way, though, because we don't live in a 3G area and they wouldn't have been sold at local stores.

Your G-1 first look video today was great! I love that you can add Folders to the Home screen and put stuff in it like your games. Sweet!

I agree. I was surprised that best buy had a dummy model on display yesterday and advertising it to be available on the 19th as well. I know best buy messes these things up sometimes but I would have thought they would have gotten word fro HTC at some point that they will not be getting any black models next week if that is the case. They'll probably update their displays when they finally get their shipment and see what they actually get. The communication between OEMs and 3rd party vendors seems to be horrible.

I'll say it again, but I have the Incipio dualpro Carbon Fiber case which covers the whole phone with perfect cut outs yet the volume rocker is covered and very responsive. Case still keeps the shape and slimness of the phone while giving it great protection.

I'd say it's probably this. If he doesn't have mobile data checked (even if on wifi) it won't download. The reason is unknown but people with the S3 on att had a big issue with this as well. The iPhone would use iMessage so it could easily send the pics over wifi since it would bypass the carrier... But android is using the carrier so they want mobile data on.

I would say it's this. ATT users discovered this on the S3 where mobile data has to be on (regardless of wifi) to send and recieve MMS. The iPhone just uses iMessage to send the photo so it bypasses the carrier... But android is using the carrier so the carrier wants mobile data to be enabled to work.
