Waking up from sedation mid-surgery

Anyone in here ever personally wake up mid-surgery from sedation/anesthetic? On Thursday, I had dental surgery and woke up midway through. No pain or anything, due to the fact they were finishing up extractions on the left side of my mouth and were ready to go to the right side. I am one of the types where I need more meds than the average person to be treated, but it is too dangerous when it comes to IV sedation. But waking up midway through was weird. At least I wasn't in pain but I've heard the horror stories of others. Are you one of those? Or are you lucky to have had it happen pain-free?
