KC, those Hondas are amazing. I had no idea they made such a bike in the '70s.

Re: Anyone here ride a motorcycle?
Last summer I traded my Harley-Davidson Sportster to somebody for a car for my son. So I saved all year and with a little help from the tax refund guy this is what i treated myself to this year.
1997 Harley-Davidson Softail Custom. I am the second owner and I am good friends with the original owner. The bike has a well documented maintenance history, that includes dates and miles of every oil change and tires. It also has the date and miles of any other work completed. He had the original HD owners manual that came with the bike etc.
The bike has 53414 miles on it which equals 3561 a year but he told me he only put 30 miles on it last year. my friend is close to 70 years old and just can't ride like he used too.
EDIT: I already took the windshield off - 02-19-2012, 03:02 PM #15
Re: Anyone here ride a motorcycle?
I am an avid sportbike rider. Have had numerous Japanese 1000 cc bikes. Recently got a naked Honda, the CB1000r. Not as hunched over so your back don't get sore.

I always carry my trusty Galaxy Nexus with me.

Re: Anyone here ride a motorcycle?
I used to have my dream bike: 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 750 (with the small V windshield), but had to let it go a few years ago for financial reasons. Broke my heart!
One of these days, I'll get another bike.

I have owned several bikes over the last decade but I recently purchased and am currently riding a 2009 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
I am currently thinking about getting an in-helmet Bluetooth system so I can rock some tunes while cruising (and if it let's me chat with the wife sitting behind me too, that's a plus). Anyone got any suggestions?

I don't know about BT com systems. I would think you would need some sort of router or modem to get it to work. I know there are wired com systems that'll work on sport bikes, but I've never actually seen one. Have you tried BMW? They have some nice accessories for motorcycles....

I really miss my Honda F4i sportbike.
When gas breaks $5 / gallon, I will seriously consider a new bike.
