We want to make this contest interesting, so we want you to declare your love for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. And it might not hurt if you threw in some Android Central and Mobilicity affection as well. In this thread, write a poem, a love letter, a limerick -- whatever suits your fancy -- showing us just how much love you have. Heck, you can even sing a song or make a video and upload it for all to see! It's all fair game.

Unfortunately, there are rules, but they are short. The contest is only open to those living in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and Ottawa (Mobilicity?s unlimited zones). I love Android Central
for its speedy android news
it constantly succeeds
where other sites tend to lose

Mobilicity brings costs down
where "Robellus" hikes up prices
It's easy to see why Robellus fails
while contract-free Mobilicity entices

With features like face unlock and more
The Galaxy Nexus is an outstanding phone
It's no wonder the Galaxy Nexus sits
Right at the top of the Android throne

With so many new features
and a contoured glass body
it makes my current phone
look real shoddy

I'd love to be able to take
easy panoramic shots outside
or unlock directly into my camera
with a simple finger slide

There are so many reasons
why I love the Galaxy Nexus
If it was a luxury car
it would definitely be a Lexus

First to get new updates
to the Android OS
A big reason I want the phone
I, must confess

But I'd love to be holding

Here's what I love about Android:
1) Open Source - it's based off of the Linux kernel, and the source code for the OS is available to anyone who wants to have a peek at its guts.
2) Hooks into your Google Account - Everything ties in together and I'm easily reachable either via email or Google Talk. Send me a message via Google Talk and it'll go to my phone, my tablet and to my browser all without the other user having to do anything at all!
3) Multiple Accounts - I have two Google accounts on my phone - work and personal. I can use both systems at the same time, yet they are separated and clearly defined.
4) Rootable - need I say more?
5) Choice in apps - lots to choose from in the Android Market.
6) Build-your-own - the tools to make an Android App are free and available for anyone to use on almost any computer system out there! You're not locked into using one specific make of computer to build an app.
7) Google+
8) Android Central - without them, there'd be no contest! I'd like them more if they'd pick my name
9) Mobilicity - You may not be my carrier right now, but if you pick me, I'll be sure to tell everyone about it! Besides, since you're limited to a few Canadian cities right now, hopefully that'll improve my chances of winning.
10) The ability to run Android on different devices! There is a choice not only in software but in hardware.

As a person who was strongly disappointed by the Milestone, I left Android within a month of owning it, and have always pondered what if. I love Android as a whole, the open-ness and the customization available. The Milestone was not any of the above(aside from root). I stuck with my blackberry through the tough and the cold, and waited for the device that was truly open, one that could handle the awesomeness of Android, and had a beautiful UI to go with it.


The Gnex was rumoured, and I fell in love. I followed all the news regarding it night and day, updating my twitter feeds every chance I had, in order to find whatever I could about the Galaxy Nexus. Unfortounately; I am a student, and have been saving up to get said phone. Mobilicity was always an option to me, their rates are amazing, in comparison to the big three. Sadly, I am stuck in a contract with Fido, and cannot make the switch. I am waiting down the days. I hope I win, so I can finally be rid of my blackberry that is terribly outdated (First world problems much?), and enjoy the fluidity of the beautiful yet powerful Galaxy Nexus on Toronto's best network, Mobilicity.
