    Default Games for children - b/t 4 - 8yo or so

I have two little kids, 4 & 7, and they enjoy playing with some of the games I've downloaded. I was wondering if any of you had any ideas other than what I've already downloaded below - and if any of you are looking, you can look these up as well:

FingerPaint - Great app, 5 stars
Magic Marker - Very cool also, 5 stars
    Kids Paint - ok, 3-1/2
Splat Bugs and Splat Bugs II - mine love this one, 4 stars
Poke a Mole - I thought it was cool, but they haven't, 3 stars
Pinball - they enjoy it a bit, though the interface isn't quite as easy as others, 3 stars
Air Hockey - maybe the pay version is better, but the free version doesn't respond very well to the touch screen on my Eris, 2 stars
Soccer Droid - I like it, they don't, 2 stars

Any others I should look in to?

And what about apps that let me kids access only these screens so they can't inadvertantly change setting like my 4yo boy did when he changed my auto-correct options to Spanish!!

My 5 YO loves playing "Connect Four" on my Droid. Teak the settings to choose an age appropriate level and they will like it.

I have a 6 year old and 3 old... their favorites are

    For learning
    1. Connect the dots
    2. ABCs & Numbers by 5 pumpkins - very useful to teach alphabets / numbers (will also sort of lock the screen... have to press home button to exit)
    3. Math Workout (great even for adults)

    Games & Entertainment
    1. Radiant Lite - A arcade style shooters game
    2. Bubble Burst
    3. Jewels (6 yr old likes more)
    4. Toddler Lock - Paint like application... Locks the screen completely... needs complex unlock that a child cannot do....

Thanks for your list... Will have a fun evening today with the kids...

I know that there are many classic games I either never played or have forgotten how to play. I want a book that explains all the common variations of classic games like marbles, jacks, hopscotch, tag, etc. Games for one or two kids and large groups, indoors and outdoors. If it had a section with instructions for homemade toys, that would be a plus.

I've made a coloring book game for Android. My 3,5 y.o. son loves it, as well as many other kids according to comments and 4,5 rating.
It indeed has a Lock Hardware Keys feature in settings, and doesn't have any Ads, so it's not easy to leave the app occasionally.

Look for Burt's Coloring Book Free on the market.

My niece and nephew are 5 and 7 y/o respectively. They have tried some of those games above. Like connect the dots, paint, fruit ninja. You could also try Pigeon Palooza. It is good enough for kids.

Try Kids' Puzzle too. Here is on the market the lite version to try it for free:

My kids love it. It's funny, nice pictures, nice sounds and educational in the same time. It keeps them busy for a long time.

Here is a demo video on YouTube:
