One other interesting fact that you guys may not know, Apple actually hired someone from jailbreak community that already realsed similar notification system. i don't know if thats a baw to jailbreak community, but i bet if Apple wanted to they would figure there own notification UI (since about UI we talking here right?), so even if Google win something Apple is not that complilly screwed

One of the big reasons these suites are filled is as stall tactics, to slow down releases etc.

Or just another revenue stream.

There was an article on The Verge like a week or two, with a video from Nilay showing how Android has "adapted" to the slide-to-unlock patent ordeal. Anyone with a Nexus or with a current OS knows how Google adapted, and there's no reason why Apple couldn't adapt either.

It's not Android's fault that the red "badge" notifications were horrible, poorly thought out, inefficient, and overwhelmingly ugly.
