Take with major dose of salt...

"The upcoming HTC smartphone destined for Sprint packs a 2GHz processor, over 1000 resolution display, Android OS 2.5 (gingerbread), 2 cameras with one being a 10-megapixel, 1080p video recording and built-in kickstand."

I wouldn't hold my breath. It sounds plausible for the EVO 2 but no for this year. I would expect something like a 1-1.5Ghz dual core rather than a 2Ghz single core. 1080P recording I can see but I hope they do better than the compressed 720P crap they have now. HTC making their own display technology I am not buying at all. I'll believe that when I see it.

Comes with 2.5 standard? 2.2 just launched so I doubt any claims of phones launching with the NEXT version of Android. I wouldn't expect this until Q1 of 2011 at the earliest.

I wish HTC would start lines instead of just throwing out random smartphones.

Like create a new smartphone line named Evo.
Evo 1, Evo 2, etc.
By doing this... they could create a refined product.

Right now it seems like they're trying to beat themselves while beating others.
And I also don't see the point of 2ghz. Phones run fast enough. They should focus on GPU and having a product that doesn't kill the battery. Or better yet, focus on the battery.

No offense, but I have yet to see a credible story reported by that site.

The stats on this thing are amazing!

"The upcoming HTC smartphone destined for Sprint packs a 2GHz processor, over 1000 resolution display, Android OS 2.5 (gingerbread), 2 cameras with one being a 10-megapixel, 1080p video recording and built-in kickstand."

These Ozgar Guide stories are bogus. Please stop opening threads about them.

Thanks,
