What to be aware of as a new android user

Hi this is my first time using an android phone - I actually got my Samsung Note 3 yesterday .

I was wondering what I Should be concerned of - and what to look out for Regarding security.

I have downloaded Avast Mobile Sec App - for now

First of all, as a long-time Android user, I wouldn't download any security software if I were you. As long as you don't download things out of Google Play, Android is a very secured system and you shouldn't have any issues. Anyhow, security apps tend to take up battery, eventually being an unnecessary burden on your phone's battery.

So if I were you, I would delete the security app.
If you have any more questions concerning overall Android experience, ask and try to be specific.
