Phone malware???

Is there a standard and accepted way to get rid of messages such as "You have won a new ipod!" and "best buy $50 gift card offer!" and the like? It's like i have malware on my phone.

Use AdAway, I think you can get it at the store.
It stops most in app adds and adds while browsing. Turn off if you wish to see adfly links.
It is what works for me.
