    Default Do I have a malware/spyware/virus issue?

My wallpaper changes on every restart....has never done this before. I did absentmindedly opened an email a few days ago regarding an "Amazon purchase order" and tried to open an invoice....now I kick myself for being so stupid as to open this knowing I hadn't made an amazon purchase in the last month. I'm usually very careful in what I open and don't open. Common sense failed me this one time and I'm not sure what's going on with my phone. Nothing else unusual has happened....just the change in my wallpaper on restart. Any input/answers? Thanks so much.

    Welcome to the forums, Stephanie.
First you can try to download an antivirus app like AVG and have it scan your device. If that fails, I would then suggest a reset. You can backup any text messages to a program called Kies, which is available on Samsung's site. If your contacts are not synced to Google you can back those up too. I would transfer any photos off your phone while it is plugged into your PC.

Most email bombs won't really effect Android devices most of the time, so not likely the problem.

Is it just wallpaper that's changing? Do you use a themer app or Zedge? I use Zedge and it seems to change my wallpaper on each reboot, its annoying but hardly a problem... Just switch it back and good to go.

Yes, it's just the wallpaper that's changing...and yes, I use Zedge as my wallpaper source. It's a new thing that's started and was just wondering if it was just coincidence that the email I opened had anything to do with it. I feel a little bit better with your answer. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer.

I downloaded the AVG app the day I got my phone and scans show no virus or malware activity. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but with all the hijinks that go on in the internet world I thought I would ask. I will transfer my pics over to my pc...thanks for the advice. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer, I do appreciate it.

Hopefully it works out. Has your phone received an update recently?
