phone ringing even thou it's muted

so all of a sudden today my phone is ringing when I get a call. it is checked in the wear app to mute, in phone setting it say muted by wear. I factory reset watch, no change. notifications don't make a noise just calls. any ideas? N5x with 6.0.1 and gwatch running MM.

I'm in the same boat, but I've got a Nexus 6P running 6.0.1 paired to a Moto 360 (1st gen).

Did you receive the March security update yet? I installed it yesterday, and it is only since then that this issue has started. Everything looks right in my settings, but it rings for phone calls, and notification sounds are still occurring as well. I started a similar thread in the Moto 360 forum here, but no response there yet.

yup, just got my March update yday and today was the first day I had this problem. sounds like that's the culprit, maybe.

Yeah. That *is* set correctly. It still rings though. It worked just fine for a year. Immediately after installing the March security update it started ringing regardless of the settings.
