    Default GIF support for avatar

Does android Central support these? If so I have one that I made yesterday for my avatar but I can't figure out how to make it my avatar. Any help is appreciated.

Not at the moment. Passport converts all image uploads into jpg format.

If there's an overwhelming need for it, I don't see why we wouldn't include. Of course, there's also the flip side of the argument, we don't want our members annoyed with looping animated gifs either.

So I suppose the short answer is no plans to include for now.
