MMS messages that weren't sent to me keep showing up?

On my samsung galaxy s3, on various conversations an mms message will pop up and won't open. When I ask the person who my phone tells me it was from, they tell me that they didnt send me a message at all. What can I do to fix this and why is it doing it?

I think this may be an issue of a group message you are possibly receiving from that person without them knowing. I would ask them to check their messages for anything that may be sent to a group and to see if you are included.
