S5- How do I stop the screen from activating when a text is received?

I have seen other people ask this question but there doesnt seem to be an answer.

The screen is too sensitive, and I have now called a few people / saved random texts / changed settings with my pocket simply because my phone turned the screen on with a new text.

I have scoured the settings and there doesnt seem to be ANY option for "DO THIS REALLY ANNOYING THING".

Does anyone know what the hell you can do to stop this?

I don't have the S5, but is there an option under either display, or in the messaging app?
