AC Question

What service providers are recommended for a hosted windows desktop? I have an Acer C720 on order, and I'm excited to try out my first Chromebook transition from a Windows world, but I'm having trouble finding answers for the 1% of the time when I might need access to a genuine windows desktop. Most people might just solve this by connecting to a personal windows machine that they have sitting at home, but what if I don't have that?

I see that Amazon has the $35/month Amazon Workspace, but is that price what it would take for something that would be used very rarely? It would be nice to have something that is billed based on usage, so that very limited usage might result in a lower cost. I also don't know if that is accessible from a chromebook.

Regardless of price, does anyone have a recommendation or suggestion for the best way to do this?

I guess the best question is, what situation would you need the Windows machine for? I am to the point where the only time I turn mine on is to download and store ROM files.
