I have the Thunderbolt & besides ALL the problems I've had (& am currently still dealing with) with this phone I woke up this morning to yet ANOTHER glitch. When I turned the screen on it read: "Activating your phone....please wait until your phone has been activated & restarted, this will take a few minutes" This message is inside a pic of a SIM card. What does this mean? My phone ALWAYS restarts, constantly. It's to the point where I use my quick settings because it's easier to drag down that screen then to wait while my home screen loads repeatedly & just either goes black or shuts off completely.

If you have extended warranty then Verizon should replace it. If not, try doing a factory data reset. I would also contact Verizon for another sim.
