Hi all. Just made the switch from iOS to android on my lovely HTC one m8. I'm just wondering if there is a way to change a setting so that a number will appear over my message, phone, Facebook etc. icons stating how many messages I have for each like the iPhone did?

Welcome to Android Central! You could try SMS Unread Count, although it's old and might not work correctly on newer phones.

You could also install Nova Launcher, a 3rd party homescreen app, and then install TeslaUnread.

Ah I see. Wasn't sure if there was a feature that comes with the phone or not. I am currently running nova so I will download that app and try it out. Thanks!
