Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will not recognize USB Keyboard

I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10 and a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3. My Tab 10 will recognize a barcode scanned I have attached through the USB port and work perfectly. But my Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 will not. I have switched back and forth and the problem is not the USB cable or the Barcode scanner for it works with the Tab 10, how can I fix this?

A barcode scanner or a keyboard? Your title doesn't match what you say in the post. It may be that the two devices have slightly different firmware, such that the Tab 3 won't recognize it. You could try contacting the manufacturer of the barcode scanner/keyboard.

smasung tablets -bar code scanners

samasung tablets will take a blue tooth barcode scanner , but once you click the scanner key you will loose your on screen keyboard. ANd you cant get it back unless you reboot.
