connecting a usb boroscope to a samsung note 3

[AC Question]

Hi I want to connect a USB boroscope or endoscope to my samsung note 3. I already have to cable to connect the two devices. When I connect the two together the LEDs at the end of the boroscope lights up but I do not get a picture. I tried to use the app called ''USB camera trial'' but it did not work and I believe it does not support samsung Note 3. Any suggestions I would appreciate any help. also I do not want to root my phone. thanks
