    Hi, I got the Galaxy S5 a month or so ago. The battery life was amazing when I got, head and shoulders above the old droid charge I had. I had no problems with the S5 until today. When I checked the battery status it said "phone" was using about 20% of the battery. I don't use my phone to call hardly at all, and didn't use it today to call. I unistalled all the apps I installed today (groupon, some free music downloaders, and got rid of some other bloatware apps), but it is still an issue. I turned it off, but it's still a problem. I'm going to the store tomorrow to ask for a second opinion, but want to know if there is any person that knows about this issue. I'd rather not have to factory reset, but I have everything on my account so it would just be a mild annoyance.

    I don't know what caused it, but, those stats don't reset until you charge to about 95% and unplug.

    Okay, but is there anything I can do? The apps in the screen for "phone" are not straightfoward app names. Is the "phone" really using the 20% it says it is?

    The phone app may have been stuck. The best thing is to see if it repeats itself. Reboot the device and fully recharge.
