Samsung Galaxy Tablet 8.9 locked out

[AC Question]

I have been trying for close to a month to get my 4 digit pin to unlock my tablet. apparently it was not the right PIN and so now I'm permanently locked out. Even though there are some very dear pictures on it, I have no choice but to do a factory reset on it. I tried to follow the steps given by various techs (they were all the same). However instead of the reboot menu, I keep getting the screen listed in "ODIN MODE". It's driving me crazy! Please I need some advice....Maureen
