Default New Contacts in People are getting deleted after phone restart or full power drain

    Hello Friends,

I noticed this problem about 1 month ago. When my HTC One (Sprint, Hardware version 0004, Software version 5.03.651.3, Android Version 4.4.2) shuts down or restarts, after it comes back up the recently added contact names in People/messages/voice-mail are gone. The messages and voice-mail are still there but the names I entered are gone. I have synced with google. I thought maybe whatsapp was causing the problem, but after deleting it, the problem still persists. If you have any idea of how to fix this or maybe who to contact to resolve the problem, please let me know. I have already searched for the specific problem I am having and have not been able to find the same occurrence and a solution.

Are you certain the contacts you entered into the People app were associated with your Google account, and not the Phone account? If so, are you also certain the phone is set to Auto-Sync?
