Additional memory to be used, but how?

I have a Samsung express 2,ive recently purchased a 32gb micro sd memory card so I could have more space.

As of yet I haven't been able to work out how to move items to the memory card and automatically save things here. I had hoped once I'd filled my phone memory it would overflow onto the memory card, I was wrong.

I use Spotify and like to have a few play lists downloaded so this takes up quite a bit of room, im also a fiend for apps, I have a lot.

If anyone could help, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Vickie

Welcome to Android Central! On Android, expanding your memory with an SD card is primarily useful for storing media (like photos, music, videos, etc.). Some devices allow you to move a portion of apps to an SD card, but not all. Apps will sometimes be able to use external SD cards for storage, but it really depends on the developer.
