Hey guys.
I have a Galaxy S3 (AT&T version). I tried to root it with Odin 3.09 so that I can unlock my device but every time i started the flashing in Odin it said "fail". After maybe the 9th or 10th time trying, the " Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in kies & try again." Error popped on the screen.
On the top left it also said:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I747
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (14 counts) [i tried to flash again a couple of time thinking it would solve the problem]
CURRENT BINARY: Custom
SYSTEM STATUS: Custom
QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE
warranty Bit: 1
BOOTLOADER RP SWERV: 2

Because of my stupidity, i forgot to backup my device before trying to root!
I just wanted to know if there is a way of solving that problem without losing all the data on my phone. if not, how can i recover the data.
If none of this is possible, how to repair it so that i can use it again

And one last question. Is there another (free) way of unlocking my device?

Thanks
