AC Question
Hello!
I switched from AT&T to Verizon a few months ago and stayed with a 2 GB data plan. I had a S3 previously and a S5 now. Since I made the switch, I am wary of using Google Maps for navigation. A 15 minute drive sucked up 63 MB of my data! I tried to turn off background data. I am using GPS only mode when location is turned on. For my vacation, which was a 2.5 hour trip, couple hundred miles, I tried to download some maps ahead of time. I used 327 MB for that trip. On the way back, I had my boyfriend use his GPS on his HTC One with the same version of Google Maps and he hardly made a dent in his data. What's going on? I have tried looking everywhere for a setting I might be choosing that could cause this and haven't found anything!
