Default Deleting the "Phone" contacts from my "Phone Book"

Need to delete all the "Phone" contacts from my "Phone Book" on my Android HTC One & I clicked on "People" and then on the upper left hand I clicked "Pphonebook" & then marked only on "Phone" that I want to currently manage. Then on the upper right I clicked menu, and then select delete all to get rid of all contacts on the "Phone" that I want. Unfortunately it says that it will also delete all the linked contacts that I don't want. How do I delete just the contacts on the "Phone" without deleteti g the linked contracts. Thanks a ton.

Welcome to Android Central! Try selecting one contact and see if the menu options allow you to unlink the contact. If so, then you'll probably have to unlink each contact individually, and then delete them from the Phone Account.
