My recording mode won't stay on "smooth motion" Is there a way to lock the settings

Hi, every time i select smooth motion in the Recording mode setting, it works in that setting until i exit the camera app, but when i later return, it's defaulted back to normal mode.

This also happens with the exposure value, it always returns to 0, but i want to lock it on -1 as it produces less blow outs in bright areas.

Is there a way to lock the camera settings?
