    Default keep qwerty keyboard

I just bought a nexus 5! I am really enjoy using it so far there is just one problem, I am a bilingual that wants to send messages in both English and French using the qwerty keyboard I found out how to set my language to French but then I get aazerty keyboard. I do not know it at all and would rather use qwerty but I like to swipe type.
How can I have a qwerty keyboard and be able to switch from English to French spell check/auto completion?
    Help much appreciated.

Swiftkey does it without you having to manually change the language between English and French.

Welcome to the forums. You should be able to change those settings in advanced settings in the keyboard. Morami is probably on the right track. Google keyboard is a good keyboard, but changing those settings is rather tedious.

Maybe some kind of bug in Swiftkey.

I had the same question for my S7 /Android 6.0.1 and solved it by choosing Canadian French, which is associated with the qwerty keyboard. Android 5.0.1 on my old S4 allowed me to change the keyboard associated with a language: a pity that this option is gone
