Default BBC Weather App Battery Drain

Noticed a week ago that BBC Weather was using abnormally high battery, normally doesn't even appear in battery stats. Did the normal things with cache clear, location, soft reset etc., but no go and in the end reported and uninstalled. Reinstalled couple of days ago but now giving same trouble....actually at top of stats above Screen. Uninstalled again.
    Anyone else having same trouble?

(Huh. Got no BBC weather forecasting now. Missing it already.)

If that's the culprit, send an email to the developer so they can fix it.
Also for now, don't use it and use something else.
There are apps that you can try, like the weather channel app and other nice weather apps on the Play store.

Yes, I did send a feedback email. I don't know what your country is but we're a bit weather obsessive in the UK, and the BBC Weather app is excellent. You're right, I'll have to use another for a while but I expect the weather itself will be a sort of shoddy inferior quality.

It was very hot and sunny here for most of the day, now overcast with dark clouds and rain pending.
Check back here tomorrow for weather as it already happened.

    Or try AccuWeather.

Allow me to conclude with a line from a poem by Robert Frost, in which the poet addresses a storm-tossed tree seen through his window:

"Your head so concerned with outer,
    Mine with inner, weather."
