Re: LG G2 huge battery drain lately

If during that 3h 49m it had some light use, that's very good. If it was sleeping and there was no use, a 5% drop in that time is a bit high, but not too worrying. Certainly an improvement. Don't forget to report back if there are developments, either good or bad, because I'd be interested to know if you could really fix this thing.

That's very promising. I'm glad. Looks like you might have fixed it.

Re: LG G2 huge battery drain lately

I sent my last post before I realised there was a Page 2 to the thread. The stats I've just looked at are even more encouraging and I think you've cracked it. If you don't mind me saying it, well done.

soo to sum up for anyone else with the problem. plug your phone in.. back it up.. first do a firmware restore on your computer [if your phone does that, lg and samsung do from what i know] then factory reset it from youre phone. then you can restore the files that you backed up.

I know this is an old thread but since the last major update a few weeks ago my lg g2 has drained overnight everynight. Whereas before the update the battery lasted all night.
Any clues as to what the last update did?

No, but clear the system cache after an update. The phone is probably doing that little by little, as it needs to, draining a lot of battery.

Also, give the phone about a week to settle in after an update. If it still doesn't behave, go to your carrier and ask them if they can redo the update because something seems to have gone wrong with the over the air one (which is as surprisoing as getting wet if you stand out in the rain - Android updates have no way to roll back a glitched update, or prevent a glitch.)

How exactly one does firmware restore?? Can you please guide?

(sorry to bring up this very old thread out, really seeing a bad battery drain.
Was thinking to use your solution.
