Android's Contact size is HUGE!

I have an LTE Viper and my system memory is almost full, according to my phone my "Contacts Storage" is the most of that storage, 697MB. I do not know what to do to lower that. I've went through all of my contacts and deleted all the people I do not talk to and all of the "ghost" people I have from Facebook.
