Unfortunately Google Search has stopped

When clicking on Google Search widget, Google Now comes up, but when clicking on search field or any cards, I receive error above.

I have cleared cache and data, done force close, uninstalled last update, but same issue.

Welcome to Android Central! What device do you have? I would suggest booting into Recovery Mode and clearing the system cache partition, but in order to tell you how (or if it's possible), we need to know which device.

Try booting into Safe Mode (instructions are at the bottom of that previous article I linked). This disables all 3rd party apps. If the problem goes away, then something you installed is causing problems, but it can be hard to pinpoint which app. If the problem persists, then there's likely some problem with the firmware.

Updated the google app worked fine aftsrward but i had the same problem out of nowhere.

ZTE Z660G phone with Android. What DID work for me was changing the voice activation back to keyboard. Go to settings (looks like a cog wheel on the phone desktop) then language and input then default touchpal keyboard
