Wi Fi priority not available?

[AC Question]

I have an Wi Fi extender in my house. Once I get to the kitchen, the Wi Fi connection is MUCH stronger through the extender. But on the other side of the house, I want to connect to the main router. I can't find an app that works or a setting that will tell my HTC One (M8) stock Verizon, to switch to the stronger Wi FI signal.

Help!

I'm not aware of any phone that does this natively. It's not available on the Nexus 5.
