How can I change my current password for my device?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you mean the password to unlock the phone from the lockscreen? Go to Settings>My Device>Lockscreen​, and select some other kind of unlock method. Then go back to that menu and select PIN or Password again, and input a new password.
