Question Swipe left on contact defaults text message to home phone instead of mobile

My Samsung Galaxy S5 runs Android 4.4.2. I'm supposed to be able to send a text message by swiping left on a contact, but it ends up texting to the home phone. How do I get it to default to text to the mobile number for all my contacts?

This is just a wild guess: maybe it defaults to the first phone number assigned to the contact. So, if a contact has both a mobile and a home number, you need to enter them so that the mobile number is first in the list and home number second.

Like I said though, that's just a guess.
