In the Play Store, it says the Amex App is not for my device. It sees that is the app for Android tablets. Why is this, and is there a workaround by downloading the app for phones? Many other apps I downloaded, just downloaded the phone version.

    New to Android tablets...

    Thanks.

Yeah I just registered my AMEX card yesterday it took me awhile though because I running in to walls when trying to input my card# it to the app, so I ended up just registering online and I had to use Puffin browser because the stock one on my Note 3 was acting up also. Once I finished the registration process online I was able to get the app running.

Sorry I'm confused by what you mean. What does registering your amex card have to do with the Play Store allowing you to download the app?? I simply cannot download the app from Google Play. It says not compatible with my device. Register the card where??

Can you please be more clear?

Well I didn't get the Device not compatible message. So I was able to download the app the issue I had with the app is that it wasn't letting me type my card information when running the app for the 1st time. So I just went to American Express website and registered my card and bank info there.

So is there way to convince my tab 4 to install the phone version of the Amex app?

I read these when first posted, before editing.

It was a side issue reported from another contributor that may have helped you later. Few people take in a post correctly first time.

It is worth sharing experiences whether they solve your particular problem or not.

If someone thinks their experience may help, a simple thank you never hurt.

Best to encourage a good poster rather than put down.

No, I can't help you either.
