Default Music skipping - App independent

This question is mainly aimed at those who use their S5 as their main music player.

When I play or stream music, my music skips intermittently. It's not consistent - it can happen one day and not happen the next.

It also doesn't matter what app I'm using - I use Milk Music, PowerAmp (also used the stock music app for a while), Pandora, and I Heart Radio on a regular basis. They all may skip from time-to-time.

Also what is unusual is sometimes when the music skips, it will temporarily speed up the music, just for about 5 or 10 seconds. Not Mickey Mouse sounding speed , but just a slight speed increase.

In addition, it happens mainly over bluetooth or if I stream over wifi (chromecast). It doesn't happen as much when I'm listening with my wired headphones.

    Anyone else have this issue?

That's odd. Have you cleared cache or performed a factory reset? Does this happen with the same Bluetooth device or multiple? Definitely something that shouldn't be happening, and it definitely seems like you are experiencing this on a regular basis.

I would factory reset (backup and sync data beforehand) and see if it continues. You might also want to take a look through the S5 forum and see if anyone else is having the same issue: Samsung Galaxy S5 - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com
