How do i delete a Whatsapp message that i don't want while i am writing it? So if i type 3 full lines and then suddenly realise i don't want to send it, how do i get rid of it? The only way i can see is by using the back-arrow with the X in it to delete it letter by letter which is a bit slow, is there not an easier/quicker way?

Unfortunately, there's no 'instant' way of doing this. But the quickest way I can think of is to tap and hold on the text so the selection tool appears. Select the entire text and hit the Delete button (or backspace). That should get rid of the entire selection.
