Favorite contacts slowly turning "unknow"

Been very satisfied with my s3, but lately more and more of my "favorite" marked contacts are turning into "unknown". I am displaying "All Contacts" and rebooting doesn't help. I have noticed that all the unknown contacts very linked to "Touchdown-Exchange", but I still have many such contacts that are showing correctly.

Are your contacts synced from this exchange? In general, it's best to sync your contacts with your Google account--it works much more smoothly.
