Lg Optimus Elite usb charging port problem

[AC Question]

HELP my LG Optimus Elite has had a problem for weeks. It would charge for a few seconds and then stop. At first i thought it was the battery,so i got a brand new one. But it would do the same thing. And now I think its the charging port. I believe it has a short in it. But the problem with that is i dont know how to take the port and connector out of the phone. I already got the motherboard out. I dont know how to get the part where the battery sits at out. could someone show me how to get it out? HELP PLEASE. ASAP PERHAPS? THANKS IN ADVANCE.
