audible app on Note 3 problems

When I play my fully downloaded audio book from the Audible app, S-voice keeps stopping the audio to say "I can't find a network connection". I have wi-fi and mobile data turned off. I have turned off everything I can think of, even put it on airplane mode. It also happens when my phone is in my pocket and I bend down while at work and here comes that annoying attempt to connect to a network. The audio book is in the phone so why does it need to connect to anything? Any ideas for a fix?
