Red face Can't see files that were transferred from PC to my phone

I have an Lg G2. I can use my phone as external storage and i placed my documents/photos into the "Downloads" folder on my phone. however, when I open my downloads folder on my phone, I can't see those documents I uploaded from my PC. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?

    Thank you!

Welcome to Android Central! How are you opening the Downloads folder on the phone? Are you using the Downloads "app" in the App Drawer? If so, I have found that this often doesn't work very well. I think the Downloads app works closely with the Download Manager, and typically only shows files that you downloaded using the Download Manager. So if you transferred a file to the Downloads folder some other way (like using your computer's file browser), the Downloads app won't necessarily show it.

Have you tried using a file manager app like ES File Explorer?
