Problem with my android 2

[AC Question]

I have to remove my battery in my android 2, put it back in, cut it on an the htc screen comes up for about 10 seconds and phone cuts of without booting up. I remove battery again and reinstall then put on charger and orange light flashes a few times and stops. Again, phone will not cut on. What's the problem? Any help

Welcome to Android Central! Can you tell us the exact model of your phone? There's no such phone as an "Android 2." It's an HTC phone, I gather.

The battery might be failing. The best test would be to try a new one.
