lg g3 folder shortcut problem...

I create a folder in sd card and shortcut to home screen. When i first click on the folder, i can see inside but second click on another sd card shortcut folder, i can’t see inside. Only see storage list (internal storage – sd storage)
But if i create folders in the internal storage, there is no problem.
Becuse of this i can’t use lg g3 file Explorer.

Why use folder shortcuts? Why not just use a file manager app to look directly in the directories?
