    Default Best phone for seniors

So my Mom is ready to ditch her dumb phone and get a smart phone. The question is which? She doesn't need anything fancy, as she'll probably use it for text, a bit of facebook, and keeping track of her travel itinerary. She's 73, and not exactly tech literate. I was thinking a Moto G, since it's cheap, fast, and she seems to like mine. What would you suggest?

I would seriously suggest a used Iphone.

The Moto G would be a great choice for something good and cheap, and you don't have to be stuck on a 2-year contract. Right now Target has the Boost Mobile model for $59.99, or you can go with the gsm version which will be compatible on AT&T/T-Mobile as well as other pay as you go service providers.

Let us know what you decide on going with.

Moto G would be my choice. And install a third party launcher. Some of them are specifically designed for old people. Big icons and simple design.

zedorda I thought about that, but the 4" screen is a bit too small. She seemed to have no problem with 4.5".

srkmagnus I will definitely you know. Thanks for the input!
