Can't Access Gmail on my HTC One Mini

I have two gmail accounts on my phone and until recently both were working fine. I went on holidays and got a warning text/email saying someone was trying to access one of my gmail accounts so I changed my password. When I log into that gmail account on a PC with my new password it works fine but when I try to access the same account using the same password on my mobile, it won't work. After some trying, I deleted the account on my phone as I thought starting from scratch would help. Now when I try to Add Account it says "Warning. Authentication failed. Please verify username and/or password." So frustrating. Anyone know what I can do to re-set up this account on my phone? Thanks

Welcome to Android Central! Try removing the account in Settings>Accounts​, then adding it back.
