Gsam Battery Monitor / GS3 / Erratic phone signal / Sprint

Do the screenshots indicate there's something wrong with my phone or am I just in a bad Sprint area? For most of the time shown on these screenshots I was in one place, wandering around a large community center-type building (not a large office building). In addition to losing battery life rapidly those (not surprisingly) gets pretty hot during times when the signal goes up and down.

The signal actually doesn't look too bad when the battery starts to tank. Poor battery life and high battery temps can suggest a failing battery--you might want to try a new one.
