Default Recovering the Original Appearance of a Phone

When I agreed to a software update a few hours ago (on a new phone, less than 3 months old!), i didnt expect that the whole look of the screen would change. I got a new screen pic, the fonts changed, the colours changed, even the sounds I had picked got changed. Arrrrrgggghhh!!
So my question is this: how do I recover the original look of the phone: screen pic, fonts, color, etc? If anyone can help, I would be very appreciative. Thanks,
    AKL

PS. My phone is a HTC One (M7)

Really there isn't a way to recover it. Seems odd it did change fonts, etc because a system OS update shouldn't affect your personal settings but then again strange things happen.
