Question Contacts corrupted? What to do?

The contacts app on my S5 seems corrupted. It doesn't open, or it is painfully slow, and some contacts it has duplicated over a thousand times. I tried backing up the contacts on my laptop and then deleting everything, and then importing the contacts back, but the problem remains. Does anyone have any ideas?

try syncing your Contacts with your Google/Gmail account. IMO that's the best place to keep them - synced in the cloud - not just on the local device/SIM Card.

    good luck.
